Here is my latest portrait.
I hate it. I absolutely hate it. It's all wrong and hideously ugly. The lips are clownish, the eyes are whoreish, the nose is pigish. The only thing I remotely like is the hair on the left side. I hate it. But, I figure, as an artist, it is important to embrace your failures. Or, at least, that's something Rob Jones would say. He's my painting teacher. Who ever this guy is, he sure looks ugly...and sad. He must hate doing self-portraits. |
